  "description": "The IPMA microalgae and cyanobacteria culture collections are living biobanks of monoclonal cultures that act as repositories of biological resources for scientific, biotechnological, monitoring, industrial and educational applications. Specializing in harmful microalgae and cyanobacteria, these collections house over 100 strains spanning multiple taxonomic groups. Among them are producers of paralytic shellfish toxins, diarrhetic shellfish toxins, ciguatoxins, and other bioactive compounds such as geosmin and limonene. In addition, the collections maintain non-toxic microalgae used for aquaculture feeding experiments.   This dataset is part of the High Value/HVD Datasets identified in accordance with Implementing Regulation No. 2023/138 of Directive (EU) 2019/1024 on open data and the reuse of public sector information.",
