  "description": "Under the Marine Directive 2008/56/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 17 June 2008, article 8 - assessment.  D3 : Populations of all commercially exploited fish and shellfish are within safe biological limits, exhibiting a population age and size distribution that is indicative of a healthy stock.  Fisheries management is an exclusive competence of the EU and is regulated by the Common Fisheries Policy. Overfishing and unsustainable fishing practices can lead to the progressive depletion and eventual collapse of stocks. It can also lead to seabed damage and bycatch of unwanted or sensitive species. This analysis was separated in two distinct species groups (Group A and Group B).  This dataset is part of the High Value/HVD Datasets identified in accordance with Implementing Regulation No. 2023/138 of Directive (EU) 2019/1024 on open data and the reuse of public sector information.",
