  "description": "Under the Marine Directive 2008/56/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 17 June 2008, article 8 - assessment.  D4 : All elements of the marine food webs, to the extent that they are known, occur at normal abundance and diversity and levels capable of ensuring the long-term abundance of the species and the retention of their full reproductive capacity.  Food webs are networks of feeding interactions between animals and their food (or predators and prey). This descriptor looks at the functional aspects of marine food webs. In particular, it looks at the diversity and balance between different groups of species and the characteristics of these.  This dataset is part of the High Value/HVD Datasets identified in accordance with Implementing Regulation No. 2023/138 of Directive (EU) 2019/1024 on open data and the reuse of public sector information.",
